It all started at an Atletico Madrid game. Back in 2011, while attending business school and strategizing my next career move, I attended an Atletico Madrid game and suddenly it all clicked. I remember the atmosphere, the fervor, the devotion of the multigenerational fans rooting for the team they love, it was like something I had never experienced before. While I always loved sports, I never thought of it as a realistic career path, but at that moment I knew that it was what I was meant to do. That is also what drives my passion of making sports careers more accessible and welcoming to everyone, especially young women of color.
I’m a first-generation Latina whose background in partnerships, strategy, and business development inform my calculated but innovative approach. I lead with an open mind, empathy, integrity, and the work ethic instilled in me by the strong women who raised me. I am rooted in passion, joy, and community. I’m not afraid to jump into the unknown, be uncomfortable, and thrive in it. It’s that tenacity and fearlessness that I take with me in any position I’m in.
I make it my business to inconvenience the status quo. As a woman of color in the business of sports, I have often been the only woman and/or person of color in the room. As such, I understand my seat at the table itself may be revolutionary, that is why I conduct business in a revolutionary manner. A theme throughout my life has always been to conquer every challenge thrown at me and come out exceeding expectations.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. When not working, I enjoy traveling, reading, and watching films with my partner and our adorable Frenchie.
